Sedation Dentistry Options for All Patients

We can help you feel very relaxed and even euphoric by having you inhale nitrous oxide gas through a mask. Most patients feel its effects within minutes and we control the depth of sedation. You will return to normal once the gas is stopped.

Intravenous (IV) conscious sedation is effective for managing moderate to severe dental anxiety. Drugs are administered intravenously and you are monitored the entire time.

You will take anti-anxiety medication before your visit so that you feel very relaxed and calm during treatment. Most patients feel very sedated and drowsy throughout their visit and will need someone to drive them to and from the office.

We can numb certain parts of the mouth by administering anesthetic into the gums or inner cheek. The numbing effect typically lasts for several hours.
